Growing older wasn’t the plan. Making fun of it was.

Reflections of a Silver Fox began as a collection of cartoons and observations about aging — then wandered into childhood memories, family, Brooklyn, art, work, the Navy, and all the wonderfully strange things that somehow stick in your head for a lifetime.

Some of it is funny.

Some of it is sentimental.

Most of it is both.

BOOK ONE — The ART Of Turning 76! Who knew turning 76 could be so entertaining? Certainly not me! A cartoon-filled celebration of growing older, looking backward, and discovering that wrinkles, wisdom, and a slightly questionable memory make terrific material. Getting old is mandatory. Acting old? That's another story!

BOOK TWO — Laughter in the Rear View Mirror The older I get, the more entertaining my rearview mirror becomes! A colorful collection of memories, misadventures, and characters I've encountered along life's winding highway. Some stories are touching, others downright ridiculous. And the best part? Most of this stuff actually happened!

BOOK THREE — I'm Not Getting Any Younger—Or Am I? My birth certificate insists I'm getting older. My imagination strongly disagrees! Another illustrated romp through the peculiar business of aging, where the body occasionally files complaints, the mind refuses to cooperate, and a good laugh remains the cheapest medicine around. No prescription necessary!

BOOK FOUR — I'm Still Kicking... Mostly! The knees creak, the memory plays hide-and-seek, and gravity has become a personal enemy. But I'm still upright, still drawing, and still finding plenty to laugh about! A cheerfully irreverent look at surviving the indignities of aging without surrendering your sense of humor.

BOOK FIVE — I'm Still Here... Now What? Well, I've made it this far. Now what? Apparently, there's still plenty of mischief left in the tank! More cartoons, family, memories, creative detours, and life's unexpected surprises. Proof that getting older doesn't mean running out of stories. It just means needing more coffee to tell them!

BOOK SIX — How In The World Did I Get Here? Before the gray hair, the drawing boards, and the Silver Fox, there was a Brooklyn kid with a pencil and a dream of becoming a cartoonist. Come back with me to Red Hook in the 1950s, where family, friends, neighborhood characters, and a fifth-floor apartment helped shape a lifetime of stories!
